No one should have to navigate hard moments alone
Chaperone Health is a peer-first behavioral health support and care-navigation platform. Trained Peer Coaches are the human center of everything we do, and intelligent guidance helps them reach more people, more consistently. Never instead of them.
No One Navigates Alone
It started as a simple observation: the hardest part of getting help is rarely the help itself. It’s the stretch before it. The waiting. The not knowing where to turn, who to trust, or whether what you’re feeling even counts.
We built Chaperone Health to close that gap with human connection. A chaperone walks alongside someone through unfamiliar territory: present, steady, and on their side. That’s the role our Peer Coaches play: someone in your corner from the first conversation, before, between, and beyond traditional care.
Our promise is a commitment we design every feature around. People deserve to feel met by a real person, supported at the pace that’s right for them, and connected to the next step whenever they need more.
“No One Navigates Alone.”
AI when it helps. Humans where it matters.
- Human connection comes first
- Support starts earlier, with lower friction
- Technology serves the people doing the caring
- Safety and oversight are built in, not bolted on
AI when it helps. Humans where it matters.
This is the line we don’t cross. Intelligent guidance handles routing, summaries, check-ins, and workflow assistance behind the scenes so trained Peer Coaches can spend their energy where only a human can: listening, understanding, and walking alongside people.
A model built around trained Peer Coaches
People open up to someone who gets it. Our model centers trained peers with lived experience, supported by structure, supervision, and tools, so support feels human first and scales without losing that.
People at the center
Trained Peer Coaches meet people with empathy and real-world understanding, listening first, then helping them take a manageable next step.
Meet the Peer Coach modelGuidance that assists
Intelligent guidance supports routing, check-ins, and summaries so coaches and teams take the right next step: always human-supervised, never autonomous care.
How AI assistsSafe paths to more
When someone needs more than peer support, coaches help them reach the right resource (clinicians, programs, or crisis services) with escalation built in.
See safety & escalationPeer support is non-clinical. Peer Coaches do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or treatment, and they are not a substitute for clinical care or crisis services.
The principles behind every decision
These aren’t posters on a wall. They’re the trade-offs we make when designing the platform and supporting the people who use it.
Human connection first
People heal in relationship. Every feature exists to make real human support easier to reach, not to replace it.
Safety by design
Supervision, escalation, and oversight are part of the architecture from the first conversation, not an afterthought.
Privacy people can trust
We treat people’s stories with care. Data exists to support them, with HIPAA-informed practices and clear boundaries.
Honest about AI
We’re clear about what intelligent guidance does and doesn’t do. It assists; it does not diagnose, treat, or hold the relationship.
Built for belonging
People deserve support that reflects who they are. We design for dignity, access, and the populations our partners serve.
Outcomes that hold up
We hold ourselves to evidence and continuous improvement, and we’d rather under-promise than overstate what support can do.
- Trained, background-checked Peer Coaches
- Structured supervision and quality review
- Clear escalation and safety protocols
- Human-supervised AI with documented guardrails
- HIPAA-informed practices; SOC 2 readiness underway
- Configurable deployments per population
A platform run like the infrastructure it is
Behavioral health support has to be safe, consistent, and accountable at scale. We run Chaperone as managed infrastructure, with the supervision, security posture, and oversight that organizations can stand behind.
That means the same care goes into operations as into the conversations themselves: how coaches are trained and supervised, how safety signals are reviewed, how data is protected, and how each deployment is configured for the people it serves.
Built for the organizations and people who need a human first
We partner with organizations to extend behavioral health support to the populations they already serve, and we configure the experience to fit each one.
Years of building behavioral health infrastructure
Chaperone Health didn’t start from zero. We build on more than a decade of experience delivering peer support and behavioral engagement at national scale across healthcare, payer, and public-sector settings.
Chaperone is the evolution of the work formerly known as iPrevail and Prevail Health. The brand, name, and platform are new; the people, the operating discipline, and the lessons learned from millions of support interactions carry forward. For existing partners and members, this is a continuity and migration of the same mission under a clearer promise: No One Navigates Alone.
Existing iPrevail / Prevail Health relationships continue uninterrupted; migration details are coordinated directly with each partner.
Help us make sure no one navigates alone
The mission only works because of the people behind it. There ’s a place here whether you want to support others directly or build the platform that makes it possible.
